The Delaware State Police has announced an arrest in a fatal stabbing in Wilmington. According to a DSP media release, 39-year-old Clarissa Sierra was arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred this morning. Around 12:54 a.m. on February 28, 2024, troopers responded to the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Clayton Road for a report of a stabbing.
DSP said Sierra had called 911 to report her involvement in a physical altercation that resulted in a stabbing. At the scene, troopers found an adult victim suffering from a stab wound to the chest. The victim succumbed to his injuries at an area hospital. At this time, the victim’s name is being withheld until the family can be notified.
Sierra was taken into custody without incident and found to be in possession of a knife, according to authorities. She is charged with Murder in the First Degree, Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Deadly Weapon by Person Prohibited, and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon.
