Seaford, Delaware – The Delaware State Police says its Homicide Detectives have arrested two suspects in connection to a homicide investigation from Seaford last month.
According to DSP, 22-year-old Jamal Riddick was arrested as the second suspect in the homicide. 20-year-old Dimere Riddick was arrested for felony gun charges.
State Police say that Seaford Police Department officers and DSP officers responded to a report of a shooting at Nutter Park at 712 Collins Avenue around 4:24 p.m. on March 12, 2025.
At the scene, officers found 23-year-old Schweitzer Dessin suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
DSP says a 19-year-old male and a 23-year-old man self-transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. A 23-year-old man self-transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
DSP Homicide Detectives say they identified Jonathan Dugazon as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. On March 24, Dugazon was taken into custody without incident.
Detectives say they identified Jamal Riddick as the second suspect. On April 15, 2025, DSP Homicide Detectives carried out a search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of South Market Street in Blades.
Riddick was taken into custody at that time. Detectives say they found an AR-style rifle and firearm ammunition in a room occupied by Dimere Riddick who is a convicted felon.
Riddick is charged with Murder 1st Degree, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (17 Counts), Reckless Endangering 1st Degree (17 Counts), and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon.
Dimere Riddick is charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Possession of Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (2 counts), and Possession of a High-Capacity Magazine During the Commission of a Felony.
