Delaware Police looking for Middle Eastern male in shooting at unsanctioned car meet

The Delaware State Police is investigating a shooting that happened at an unsanctioned car meet in the area of Tyler Way in Newark. DSP reports that troopers responded to Tyler Way for a reported shooting around 1:21 a.m. on August 18.

At the scene, troopers found a 17-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the legs. The victim was treated at an area hospital before being released. DSP says a large crowd was gathered at an unsanctioned car meet.

At some point, the victim was involved in a confrontation with a male suspect who threatened to shoot him. A short time later, a second male approached and shot the victim with a handgun.

The two suspects fled the scene in a silver sedan. DSP says the first suspect is a Middle Eastern man who was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect is a light-skinned black male with dreadlocks and a black hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect had a mask covering his face.
