Detectives with the DC Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District are searching for the suspect who struck a man with a piece of lumber. The incident happened in the 2300 block of Mount View Place SE.

Around 3 PM on December 7, 2023, the suspect approached the victim at the provided address. The suspect pulled out a wood stick and assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene.

The suspect was caught on surveillance video which is available below. The man was wearing all black at the time of the attack.
