The DC Metropolitan Police Department is currently searching for a shooting suspect. According to an MPD media release, Sixth District detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man from a shooting. Around 4:29 p.m. on March 22, 2024, the victim was inside a business in the 2900 block of Minnesota Avenue Southeast.
The suspect fronted the victim before a physical altercation ensued. The altercation continued outside the business where the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim. The victim fled and sought medical assistance at the Sixth Police District Substation. The suspect also fled the scene.
MPD has released a photo of the suspect. Anyone with information about the individual is asked to contact MPD at 202-727-9099.
