Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District are searching for the suspects who stole a Doberman puppy at gunpoint on Anacostia Road SE. According to a press release from MPDC, the victim was walking in the 300 block of Anacostia Road SE on November 21, 2023 around 3 PM when they were approached by suspects who demanded his dog.

Police say the suspects brandished a handgun and robbed the victim of his dog and shoes. The dog is described as a tan and brown Doberman puppy. The suspects were caught by surveillance cameras and police have released photos. Anyone who can identify the suspects or has information about the incident is asked to call 202-727-9099.

Alternatively, individuals with information can submit a tip to the Department’s text tip line at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and conviction of a person or persons responsible for committing a crime in the District of Columbia.
