DC Metro Police announce arrest of teen in slaying of Tyreek Moore

Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Branch detectives have announced that a man has been arrested for a January homicide. According to MPD, Sixth District officers responded to the 4600 block of Minnesota Avenue Northeast for a reported shooting around 3:28 p.m. on January 22, 2024.

At the scene, responding officers found a shooting victim with non-life-threatening injuries. A second victim was found inside a vehicle. The second victim was pronounced deceased at the scene and later identified as 18-year-old Tyreek Moore. On March 26, 2024, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended 17-year-old Tyree Bratcher.

Bratcher is charged as an adult with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
