DC man behind bars in alleged attempted sexual assault at apartment on Davis Place

A man is behind bars following an alleged attempted sexual assault at an apartment in the 3900 block of Davis Place Northwest. On Monday, Metropolitan Police Department Sexual Assault Unit detectives announced that a man had been arrested for attempting to sexually assault a victim inside an apartment.

On April 6, 2024, the suspect and victim were inside an apartment at the aforementioned location. The suspect is accused of brandishing a gun and attempting to force the victim into a sex act. Detectives say the handgun was later determined to be a replica. After the victim refused, the suspect allegedly forced the victim to remain in the apartment.
