Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District are asking for the public’s help in locating a dog that was taken during an armed robbery. Just before 3 p.m. on December 22, 2023, the victim listed her dog for sale online. The suspect contacted the victim to purchase the dog. When the victim arrived in the 3300 block of 14th Place Southeast, the suspects approached the victim and took the dog.

When the victim tried to retrieve the dog, one of the suspects produced a handgun and threatened to shoot the victim. Following the incident, the victim left and called 911. The 1-year-old French bulldog is named Mocha. She is beige, has a microchip, and a fresh c-section scar on her stomach.
