David Burdett charged with Felony Cruelty to an Animal for allegedly dragging a puppy down the road

The Shasta County District Attorney’s Office has announced an animal cruelty charge against a man accused of dragging a puppy down the road. District Attorney Stephanie A. Bridgett announced on March 25, 2024 that the District Attorney’s Office had filed a felony Cruelty to an Animal charge against David Burdett.

On March 21, 2024, Burdett was arrested by the Redding Police Department for dragging a puppy down the road. On March 25, 2024, Burdett was arraigned. He remains behind bars with bail set at $120,000.
