The Davenport Police Department is investigating a serious crash involving a pedestrian. Around 10:08 p.m. on March 24, 2024, DPD officers and Fire and Medic EMS responded to the intersection of Locust Street and Warren Street for a report of a crash involving a pedestrian.

DPD says the initial investigation suggests a vehicle was traveling westbound on Locust Street when it struck a pedestrian walking in the roadway. The pedestrian, who is described as a 10-year-old child, was transported to an area hospital for treatment for serious injuries.

The Davenport Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the crash. No additional details are available at this time.
