The Danville Police Department is investigating the fatal shooting of a 33-year-old local man. DPD reports that it is investigating a homicide that occurred on October 2, 2024 in the 200 block of Fagan Street.

Just before 10 p.m., DPD officers responded to the aforementioned location for a well-being check. At the scene, officers found a male lying in the driveway suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

DPD says 33-year-old Azra Jermann Keene received lifesaving aid. Keene was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. No other details are available at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact DPD at 434-799-5111 or Crime Stoppers at 434-793-0000.
