The Danville Police Department has announced the arrest of a 24-year-old Danville man who allegedly assaulted his father with a deadly weapon. Around 2:18 p.m. on January 20, 2024, Danville officers responded to a disturbance on Glasgow Circle in the 200 block. At the scene, DPD said officers learned that 24-year-old Kevin Xu had assaulted his father using a deadly weapon. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived.

A warrant was issued for Xu’s arrest. Around 6:38 a.m. on January 21, 2024, officers located Xu on Grassland Court and apprehended him. Xu was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Resisting Arrest.
