The Dallas Police Department is attempting to identify the suspects involved in the fatal shooting of Edward Wilson in the 3400 block of South Malcolm X Boulevard. DPD reports that officers responded to a shooting at the aforementioned location around 9:10 p.m. on June 7, 2024.
DPD says the preliminary investigation determined that officers reached the scene and found 43-year-old Wilson shot on the ground outside a vehicle. Wilson succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Two other men were shot and taken to an area hospital in stable condition.
DPD believes suspects in two white pickup trucks drove southbound on Malcolm X Boulevard and fired shots at a group of people. DPD has released video of the possible suspects.
Detectives are also searching for witnesses who were at the scene when Wilson was fatally shot. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Brewster Billings at 214-671-3083.
