Culver City Police arrest woman who allegedly bashed victim’s head with metal pole

The Culver City Police Department says it has arrested a woman who allegedly struck the victim in the head with a metal pole repeatedly. CCPD says its officers responded to a call for service of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 3800 block of Sepulveda Boulevard around 9:17 p.m. on October 25, 2024.

Officers found a victim bleeding profusely from a head injury, according to CCPD. The victim received treatment at an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities say witnesses reported that a female suspect was seen carrying a long metal pole in the area.

Police say the suspect approached the victim and asked if she had any money. When the victim declined, the suspect allegedly attacked hitting the victim repeatedly in the head with the metal pole.

Police say the victim fled into the street to get away from the suspect. Witnesses began shouting at the suspect to stop causing the suspect to flee south and out of view. CCPD says it has arrested 27-year-old Tiarea Janae Davis in the case.

The Culver City Police Department said in a statement that the case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.
