Craven County Sheriff’s Office arrests man for Trafficking Heroin or Fentanyl

A man is behind bars after being arrested for trafficking heroin or fentanyl. The Craven County Sheriff’s Office reports that its Special Investigations Bureau carried out a traffic stop on Streets Ferry Road in Vanceboro on June 20, 2024.

Investigators say they identified the driver as Shaquan Otrell Green. Investigators developed probable cause to search the vehicle where they found approximately 45 grams of fentanyl in Green’s pants.

New Bern Police Department Narcotics investigators and detectives carried out a search warrant at Green’s home in Vanceboro. CCSO reports that Green’s girlfriend, Tia Nicole Bowen, and three children were present.

During the search, investigators allegedly found around 18 grams of methamphetamine, 11 grams of cocaine, 10 oxycodone pills, more than $4,700 in cash, and a firearm. Green has been charged with two counts of Trafficking Heroin/Fentanyl.

33-year-old Tia Nicole Brown was charged with two counts of Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver Schedule VI Controller Substance, Felony Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling for Controlled Substances, Misdemeanor Child Abuse, and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
