A man has been arrested for murder in a fatal shooting in Covington, Georgia. The Covington Police Department reports that its officers responded to 8150 Lakeview Drive in reference to a man being shot.

At the scene, officers found a victim deceased inside a building on the property. The victim was identified as Troy Eaton. The suspect was at the scene and was quickly taken into custody. CPD has identified the suspect as Wayne Eaton.

Wayne Eaton was booked into the Newton County Jail and charged with Murder.
