The Costa Mesa Police Department has announced the arrest of a man in connection to the suspected murder of a 38-year-old woman. CMPD says it received a call about a deceased woman found in the backyard of a residence in the 1900 block of Maple Avenue around 2:27 p.m. on October 22, 2024.

Authorities say they found the victim deceased at the scene and initiated an investigation. CMPD says the victim’s friend was identified as a suspect and located in Glendale. Detectives traveled to Glendale to arrest the suspect.

Authorities have not identified the victim or suspect in the case at this time.
