The Cordele Police Department is investigating a shooting at the Party Shop. Around 1:15 a.m., CPD officers responded to a shots fired call at the Party Shop in the 200 block of West 24th. At the scene, officers were informed by citizens that the shooter or shooters had fled the scene.
A vehicle was found with gunshots but no one was inside. 911 Dispatchers informed officers that a possible victim had arrived at Crisp Regional Hospital with a gunshot wound. At the hospital, officers contacted a 30-year-old Cordele man who had been shot in the foot while trying to flee the area.
Authorities say the man’s injuries are not life-threatening. No additional details are available at this time.
