Original – The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrests of 32-year-old Laurie Maegan Stewart and 27-year-old Tony Curtis Williams. Both are charged with Child Desertion and Resisting an Officer.

CPSO reports that its deputies responded to a residence on Lynn Havens Drive after receiving multiple 911 calls. At the scene, responding deputies found that the calls were coming from a young child who was nonverbal and had intellectual disabilities.

Authorities say the child was dirty, nude, emaciated, and alone. Deputies contact CPSO’s Special Victims Unit detectives. CPSO says the guardians of the child, Laurie Stewart and Tony Williams, arrived at the residence a short time before detectives arrived.

They allegedly became noncompliant during interviews and were taken into custody. The Department of Child and Family Services responded to take the child into state custody. No other details are available at this time.
