A woman was stabbed on July 10 in Columbia, Missouri. A 55-year-old Columbia man has been arrested in connection to the stabbing. The Columbia Police Department reports that its officers responded to a stabbing in the 1100 block of West Broadway around 6:02 a.m. on July 10, 2024.

At the scene, officers found an adult female victim who had been attacked. The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. 55-year-old Michael James was identified as the suspect, according to CPD.

Officers found James in the area and took him into custody. He was arrested on charges of First-Degree Domestic Assault, Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Resisting Arrest.
