A man was found deceased on Locust Street yesterday. The Columbia Police Department is investigating the matter. CPD says its officers responded to the 400 block of Locust Street in connection to a death investigation around 8:15 a.m. on July 8, 2024.
The scene was secured and examined by crime scene investigators. Officers learned that the man was found by a member of the public. The deceased male had no obvious signs of trauma, according to CPD.
The body was transported to the Boone County Medical Examiner’s Office for investigation. The preliminary information suggests there is no foul play.
