The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has announced that 25-year-old Michael Anthony Maldonado, of Immokalee, Florida, had been indicted on one count of First-Degree Murder, Attempted First Degree Murder Firearm Causing Great Bodily Harm, and Shooting At/Into an Occupied Vehicle.

Maldonado is accused of crashing his vehicle into another vehicle containing two individuals. He allegedly exited his vehicle and fired numerous shots into the other vehicle. Authorities say one victim passed away. The second victim survived the shooting. Maldonado was taken into custody a short time after the incident.
