Cocoa Police arrest man for murder less than 24 hours after he allegedly killed man during attempted robbery

The Cocoa Police Department has arrested a suspect in an attempted robbery turned murder. According to CPD, the 19-year-old male was taken into custody less than 24 hours after he killed a man during an attempted robbery. Kenydrick Anderson is charged with 1st Degree Murder, Attempted Robbery with a Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm by a Person Under Age 21.

Anderson was booked into the Brevard County Jail where he is being held without Bond. Officers responded to the area of Crestview Road and Monopoly Lane for reports of a shooting on Friday. At the scene, officers found 43-year-old Factor Adrian Tejax Curup.

Curup was airlifted to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
