Clemmons Middle School student detained after hitting another student in the head with a laptop

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office reports that it has obtained a secure custody order for a juvenile involved in an assault at Clemmons Middle School today. On Tuesday afternoon, FCSO’s School Resource Officers were informed of an aggravated assault.

Deputies learned that a student had intentionally hit another student in the head with a laptop computer. FCSO personnel contacted the North Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice to obtain a Secure Custody Order.

FCSO says it obtained an order for one count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury. The juvenile is now in the custody of a juvenile detention center.
