Clarence Webb In Custody After Shots Fired From ‘Ghost Gun’ In Rockwood

A 48-year-old Gresham man is in custody following a shots fired incident at an apartment complex in the Rockwood neighborhood. Clarence Webb was remanded to the Multnomah County Detention Center on suspicion of reckless endangering and unlawful use of a weapon.

Gresham police were dispatched to the 17800 block of Northeast Multnomah Drive, an apartment complex, to investigate a report of shots fired around 12:15 a.m. on December 18, 2023. Upon arrival, officers made contact with witnesses and recovered seven spent 5.56 shell casings and a “ghost gun,” a firearm without a serial number.

Following an investigation, officers determined Webb fired a short-barreled semi-automatic AR15 seven times from inside an apartment unit through a window.

No injuries or property damage were reported.
