The Seattle Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a man critically injured Monday evening in the Chinatown-International District. Just before 5 PM, 911 dispatch received reports of a male shot in the 1200 block of South King Street. Upon arrival, officers found a male with a gunshot wound.
The 44-year-old male victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center. The victim is in critical but stable condition. According to a press release from the Seattle Police Department, police processed the scene for evidence and are trying to determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
At this time, no suspects have been identified and no suspect information is available. Gun Violence Reduction Unit Detectives will be in charge of the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line at 206-233-5000.
