A child rape suspect has been taken into custody in Oklahoma City following a license plate reader hit. According to a media release from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, 38-year-old Seth Taylor was indicted earlier this month for allegedly repeatedly raping a 12-year-old girl years prior.

In July 2022, the victim visited a health center and reported she had been raped multiple times over the last year. MNPD says Taylor was quickly identified as the suspect and they had contact through a relative. Taylor was located this morning using LPR data at an Oklahoma City apartment complex.

He was taken into custody by the Oklahoma City Police Department and will be extradited to Nashville in the coming days. Taylor is facing five counts of rape of a child, two counts of aggravated sexual battery, and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child.
