The Chicago Police Department has arrested two aggravated battery suspects in separate incidents. According to a news release from CPD, 30-year-old Pierre Thorne was arrested and charged with one felony count of Aggravated Battery/Great Bodily Harm and one felony count of Aggravated Battery/Public Place.
Thorne was arrested in the 1400 block of North Luna on November 29, 2023. Thorne is accused of striking a 53-year-old male victim in the head with a metal object on December 8, 2022, in the 100 block of West Madison. The victim sustained serious injury.
The Chicago Police Department also arrested a 14-year-old male who is charged with one felony count of Aggravated Battery/Discharge Firearm and one misdemeanor count of Aggravated Assault/Use Deadly Weapon. The juvenile was arrested on November 29, 2023 in the 1900 block of West Ogden. He is accused of shooting and injuring a 27-year-old man in the 1900 block of West Congress on November 19, 2023.
