The Chicago Police Department has announced armed robbery charges against a 20-year-old Chicago man. Jerry Mufid was arrested by officers with the Chicago Police Department in the 0-100 block of West Illinois Street around 5:35 p.m. on January 13, 2024. According to CPD, Mufid was identified as the offender who took property from a 32-year-old male victim while armed with a dangerous weapon just an hour earlier.
CPD said Mufid was also charged in connection to another armed robbery with a dangerous weapon of a 27-year-old that occurred thirty minutes later in the 0-100 block of East Grand Avenue. The offender was quickly located and arrested by responding officers, according to authorities.
Mufid is charged with two felony counts of Armed robbery.
