A woman is dead after jumping from the Jordan Bridge, according to the Chesapeake Police Department. CPD reports that officers responded to the Jordan Bridge after a caller said someone had just jumped around 8:41 p.m. on June 16, 2024.

Officers found the person in question and removed them from the water. The female was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased. CPD has only said that the deceased is an adult female.

The investigation is ongoing. No other details are available at this time.
