The Cheney Police Department is currently investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred around 6:45 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of 1st Street and College Hill Street.

CPD says a pedestrian was in the crosswalk when they were hit by a vehicle traveling southbound on 1st Street. Witnesses reportedly said that the vehicle never slowed and continued traveling southbound.

The suspect vehicle did not stop at the scene of the accident. CPD is working to identify the vehicle and the driver of the vehicle. The Cheney Police Department asks anyone with information to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233 and reference case #2024-81002468.
