The Chattanooga Police Department is currently investigating a homicide on Crestway Drive. CPD reports that officers responded to a request for assistance in connection to a possible missing person in the 300 block of Crestway Drive around 9:48 a.m. on August 19, 2024.
CPD says the witness provided information that convinced them a murder had occurred at the residence. CPD’s Homicide Unit was requested. CPD reports that the witness said the victim, 33-year-old Brooke Killings, was last seen at the Diamond Billiards on August 17.
The witness also allegedly said that the suspect told him he had killed his girlfriend, Killings. Detectives say they obtained video evidence showing the victim and her boyfriend, Demarcus Napier, at Diamond Billiards together before leaving in a Volkswagen Atlas.
Detectives also used cell phone data showing the victim’s phone traveling to the residence on Crestway Drive. Killings’ family reportedly informed detectives that Napier had a history of domestic violence involving Killings.
Homicide Unit detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence and found the crime scene. CPD reports that blood was found in several locations and Blood Reagant found several areas indicating the presence of blood.
Authorities believe the victim suffered a non-survivable wound and the suspect moved the victim from the crime scene using his vehicle. On August 20, 2024, 29-year-old Demarcus Napier was arrested and charged with Criminal Homicide.
The victim’s remains were found off Interstate 75 in Catoosa County, Georgia on August 21, 2024.
