CPD says warrants have been obtained for Nayquon Laymonte Steppe.
During the shooting, a residence and a vehicle were struck by gunfire. CPD says the suspect is described as a 25-year-old black male around 5’7” and weighing 175 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
At this time, Steppe is facing charges of Attempted Malicious Wounding, Reckless Handling of Firearm, and Destruction of Property. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000. CPD warns that Steppe should be considered armed and dangerous.
