Charlottesville Police investigating shooting on 6th Street SE

The Charlottesville Police Department is on the scene of a shooting. Around 12:02 a.m. on June 29, 2024, CPD responded to the 700 block of 6th Street Southeast for a report of a shooting.

CPD says there have been no reports of any injuries at this time. There are no reports of any damage. Police have responded and are in the process of collecting evidence.

CPD warns locals that 6th Southeast from Monticello Avenue to Blenheim Avenue will be shut down during the investigation.
