The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that occurred on Friday. CMPD reports that its officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 9200 block of Kings Parade Boulevard around 1:19 p.m. on September 13.

At the scene, responding officers found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Homicide Unit Detectives and Crime Scene Search responded to investigate.

At this time, it is believed that this is a murder-suicide with the suspect taking their life. CMPD says it is not looking for any additional suspects.
