The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a homicide in the 2400 block of Pitts Drive in the Metro Division. According to a media release, officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 2400 block of Pitts Drive around 1 a.m. on February 1, 2024.

At the scene, officers found a victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The investigation is ongoing and details are limited at this time.
