Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a homicide in the 400 block of Berkeley Hill Drive. Around 10:31 p.m. on February 20, 2024, University City Division officers responded to a call for service involving an assault with a deadly weapon with injury at the aforementioned location.

At the scene, officers found an adult male victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. According to CMPD, detectives are not looking for any suspects at this time.
