Charlotte Police arrest Ulysses and Urundi Barnes for Shooting into Occupied Property on April 23

Two people are behind bars following a shooting incident in Charlotte, North Carolina. According to CMPD, two individuals have been arrested in connection to a shooting incident around 5 p.m. on April 23 in the 2700 block of Coronet Way. CMPD stresses that the shooting was near the Stewart Creek Greenway but did not involve the greenway in any way.

Around 5:16 p.m., CMPD officers responded to a shots fired call at the location. At the scene, officers did not find any victims. Two occupied homes were found to have been struck by bullets. An unoccupied vehicle was also hit. No one was injured during this incident.

CMPD officers located two suspects and took them into custody. 26-year-old Ulysses Barnes is charged with 2 counts of Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling, 7 counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Felony Conspiracy, and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
