Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police investigating homicide after female stabbed to death on North Tryon Street

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred early this morning. Around 6 a.m. on March 4, 2024, Central Division officers responded to the 400 block of North Tryon Street for an assault with a deadly weapon call.

At the scene, responding officers found a female victim suffering from a stab wound. The victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Detectives responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence.

A short time later, patrol officers located the suspect who was taken to the Central Division Team Office to be interviewed. Just after 8 a.m., 46-year-old Susan Annette Dillehay succumbed to her injuries. 32-year-old Jessica Lashay Robinson has been charged with murder.
