The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting early Monday after a victim arrived at the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies responded to an area hospital in reference to a gunshot wound patient.
The Crime Scene Unit and Major Crimes Unit detectives are investigating the shooting. At this time, authorities believe the incident occurred near the 12000 block of Willmington Boulevard.
It is believed the incident is isolated and there is no threat to the public. No other details are available at this time.
