The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating after a person suffered a gunshot wound just after midnight. CCSO reports that detectives are investigating an isolated incident in Deep Creek that left one person with a gunshot wound.

CCSO responded to the 200 block of Seasons Drive in Punta Gordo just after midnight for reports of a person suffering from a gunshot wound. CCSO says all parties have been accounted for.

The injured subject was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Authorities say the incident was isolated to the residence in question and there is no threat to the public.
