Original – The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 26-year-old man who is described as a person of interest in a double homicide. In a social media post, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office explained it is attempting to locate Michael McKnight who is a person of interest in a double homicide that occurred in Blanchard on April 18.
Authorities believe McKnight is on foot and possibly in the Blanchard Furrh/Back Path area. Earlier today, McKnight’s 2007 Honda Pilot was found abandoned on the roadway near Walter B. Jacobs Park. Sheriff Jay Long said a male victim and a female victim were found deceased this morning in the 5900 block of Attaway Hill Lane.
The victims were found after deputies responded to a residence in the area for a welfare check after one victim failed to show up at work. Anyone with information about McKnight’s whereabouts is asked to Detective Matt Purgerson with CPSO at 318-464-9641.
