The Bullhead City Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred earlier today. Around 2:20 p.m. on March 26, 2024, BCPD officers responded to the Safeway parking lot in the 1700 block of Highway 95. At the scene, a male victim informed authorities that two men in a pick-up truck started yelling and threatening him as he was walking into the store.
19-year-old Gregory R. Capps and his father, 53-year-old Gregory W. Capps, are accused of getting out of the truck and assaulting the male victim. The victim informed police that he retrieved a knife to defend himself. 19-year-old Capps was stabbed in the arm and transported to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center. He was later flown to a Las Vegas hospital for further treatment.
Following the stabbing, the victim entered the grocery store and asked employees to call police. 53-year-old Capps was arrested and charged with threatening and intimidating, assault, and disorderly conduct. Charges against the 19-year-old are pending. Police say the incident may be the result of a road rage confrontation.
