Broward Sheriff’s Office is looking for individual who carved foul language on a car and attempted a car burglary

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is searching for an individual who carved foul language into the hood of a vehicle. A news release explains that surveillance cameras caught the incident which happened inside a North Lauderdale community in mid-October. Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the individual.

Detectives say several individuals were spotted trying to open car doors in the Hamptons West community just after 1 AM on October 17, 2023. At one point, the individuals tried opening the car doors of a Nissan Sentra but they were locked. One of the suspects carved the word “b*tch” into the hood of the victim’s vehicle.

Detectives do not believe the victim knows the suspect and it appears to be a random incident. Authorities say the individuals thought to be with the vandal are seen trying to enter other vehicles on the property on the same morning.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying the individuals in question. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact BSO North Lauderdale District Detective Lisa Sokol at 954-720-2261. They can also submit a tip using the SaferWatch app. Alternatively, they can contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
