The Broward County Sheriff’s Office announced it was investigating the fatal shooting of a woman in Dania Beach on Friday night. According to a press release from the Broward Sheriff’s Office, dispatch received reports of a shooting near the intersection of SW 12th Avenue and Stirling Road around 9 PM on December 15.

Upon arrival, emergency crews discovered a female and a male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment. The adult female victim was later pronounced deceased.

Detectives believe the victims were sitting in a vehicle at a red light when another vehicle pulled up and the occupants began shooting at the victims.
