The Martin County Sheriff’s Office has announced that a man has been charged in the death of a Florida Highway Patrol Trooper. 30-year-old Michael Anthony Addison has been charged in the death of 26-year-old Zachary Fink and another person.
According to MCSO, Fink and the driver of a semi-truck were killed in a crash on Interstate 95 Friday morning. Fink was in pursuit of Addison at the time of the crash. Addison is accused of fleeing the scene before hiding in a residential community.
Addison was located during an extensive manhunt involving multiple agencies. Last night, he was charged with two counts of vehicular homicide, two counts of felony homicide, two counts of murder committed during a crime, driving without a license causing death or serious injury, aggravated fleeing and eluding with serious injury or death, and felony homicide.
MCSO said investigators used the handcuffs belonging to Trooper Fink to secure the suspect.
