Brighton Police arrest 25-year-old Ronnie Vigil following fatal vehicle collision

A 25-year-old man has been booked into the Adams County Jail on charges of Vehicular Homicide and Driving Under the Influence. The Brighton Police Department reports that it is investigating a vehicular homicide that occurred around 2:45 a.m. on July 27, 2024.

Officers received reports that a man was down on the ground in the 4500 block of Southern Street. At the scene, officers learned that a 25-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe eastbound when a 50-year-old man exited the Tahoe and was struck by the vehicle.

The 50-year-old man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver, Ronnie Vigil, was arrested and booked into the Adams County Jail. No other details are available at this time.
