The Bridgeport Police Department reports that it has arrested a murder suspect within hours of the crime. BPD says a 29-year-old Southington man was fatally stabbed behind a social club in the East End of the City. Police say they have arrested a suspect just twelve hours later.

BPD reports that Homicide Detectives arrested 40-year-old Ricardo Maldonado of Bridgeport outside his residence on Cowles Street around 5 p.m. on November 1, 2024. Maldonado has been charged with murder. He is currently being held on a bond of $750,000.

Stratford Police responded to a report of a person lying in the street bleeding near the intersection of Stratford Avenue and Bruce Avenue in Stratford around 3 a.m. on November 1.

SPD officers found 29-year-old Kyle Allen Leblanc deceased with multiple stab wounds. Police say the crime occurred behind the Thirty Plus Social Club at 1985 Stratford Avenue in Bridgeport.

Detectives say the victim and Maldonado were associates.
