Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 26385 NW Groveland Drive, Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals, at 2:21 a.m. on December 24, 2023, to investigate a break-in alarm.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a broken window and footprints going south away from the museum. A K9 was brought in to track the footprints but the suspect managed to escape.

A glass display case was shattered and gold items were missing. The value of the missing items is not available at this time.

The suspect is being described as an average-built adult white male in a jacket and jeans.
